Activities You Can Do this Vegan Month

We often hear the phrase, "you are what you eat". Well, is it true? It may not literally point the idea out but it does imply one fact, and that is to be fit and healthy, one must eat good food. This whole month of November, the world will be observing World Vegan Month. It is basically an annual event which starts at November 1, otherwise known as the World Vegan Day, commemorating the day in which the word "vegan" was created and The Vegan Society established.

Vegan or veganism is embracing the concept of abstaining from the use of any animal products, particularly when it comes to diet. In the standard vegan diet, the absence of any kind of meat including dairy products such as eggs, butter and cheese is found. One of the simple things you may do this Vegan Month is to simply include one vegan dish on your daily menu, whether it's for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Vegan dishes don't taste bad as what people mostly connote. I, for a fact, a self-declared carnivorous, loves to eat Mushroom Burger. Mushroom like tofu has the same distinct taste you can find in meat. There are other vegan dishes such as Vegetarian Bean and Barley Vegetable Soup, Vegetarian Tofu "Fish" Sticks and Apricot Pasta Salad.

Aside from eating vegan dishes, why don't you try, going to Vegan festivals and activities happening near your street? Try and learn more about "vegan" and their philosophy, how and when it started, their deep sentiments and thoughts to why they chose to abstain themselves from eating any meat or using products from animals. You can visit WorldVeganMonth.net, where you can get the list of Vegan events they have for this month, inspiring films and the history of veganism itself.

Keeping with the green theme for the month, if ever you want to print copies of the vegan recipes mentioned above and the information you got from the World Vegan Month website, don't forget to use remanufactured toner cartridges and remanufactured ink cartridges for your printers.
