The Remanufacturing Process of Toner Cartridges

You perhaps have often heard the term "remanufacturing" or "recycling" toner cartridges and inkjet cartridges a lot in this blog. But how does these third-party companies recycle these printer cartridges and ensure that their quality can pass the qualifications set by OEM-branded cartridges? If you're curious to the processes that involves in re-manufacturing cartridges, here is TonerGreen 10 Step Remanufacturing Process.

TONERGREEN'S 10-STEP REMANUFACTURING PROCESS FOR TONER CARTRIDGES

  1. Inspection of raw materials - Once the empty cartridges arrived in TonerGreen's facility, all of them are individually inspected for any dents, scratches or any signs that wouldn't qualify them to undergo the recycling process. Each components are also inspected for conformity to industry standards.
  2. Recycling cartridge components - When the toner cartridge is no longer of use but its parts are still use-able, its disassembled and recycled in order to be used again.
  3. Splitting - The empty toner cartridges are then reassembled and split using custom splitting equipment to preserve the integrity of the cartridge.
  4. Cleaning toner cartridges - The toner cartridges are then thoroughly clean with cleaning solution to remove any residue or toner particles from the components. If the cartridge is using recycled parts, the parts are individually cleaned, as well.
  5. Digital auto-filling - After its cleaning process, the toner cartridges are then filled with premium toners that are technically matched to the OPCs (drum) for optimal yields and printer performance.

Installing Your Lexmark T650 Toner Cartridge Chip

"I've got a new compatible toner cartridge for my Lexmark printer but it doesn't recognize it, it doesn't work," I was once asked by a printer user. Perhaps for those who own a Lexmark laser printer, there's a great chance they have experienced the same problem. And we know there's nothing's more irritating than buying an expensive toner cartridge just to be disappointed in the end that it doesn't work. But before you bawl out your irritation at the seller, you might want first to make sure that the problem really lies in the toner cartridge rather than its chip.

Yes, most of Lexmark laser printers comes with smart chips. These smart chips are the ones that indicate the level of your toner and when it depletes, it what tells your printer's processor to send a message to your computer that you're already out of toner. However, even after you replace the empty toner cartridge with a new one, the smart chip doesn't reset itself and maintains the same information as before therefore not recognizing the new filled toner you had just installed. But you don't have to fret, there are ways on how to tweak it. All you have to do is to install a new smart chip on your Lexmark printer.

Here's a quick video tutorial on how to install a smart chip on a Lexmark T650 toner cartridge for Lexmark printers Lexmark T650DN, T650DTN, T650N, T652DN, T652DTN, T652N, T654DN, T654DTN, T654N, T656DNE.
